How to get to STARCS

There is a wide selection of transportation that makes it exceptionally fast and easy to get to STARCS, even from abroad. Public transportation is right out on the street and there is both an internationally connected airport, and a harbour within only 400 m from our facilities. STARCS is located about 6 km from the city centre of Stockholm.
 
Flying
No more than 15 minutes walk from the facility there is the internationally connected Stockholm-Bromma airport that takes visitors from anywhere in the world via Brussels in Belgium.
Off course, there are also a variety of domestic destinations including Göteborg, Trollhättan and Malmö. It takes only a short walk or five minutes by taxi to get from the airport to STARCS.
 
Local transportation
By subway and buss visitors can get from the central railway station to STARCS and the Stockholm-Bromma airport in about half an hour. For transport of heavy gods the facility is easily accessible for trailer
delivery from the street through the private gate. There is also an industrial harbour only 400m from the facility where heavy gods can be unloaded right on to a truck for the last transportation to the wind tunnel.
 
Accommodation
For the visitors that need accommodation there are many high quality hotels close by, the closest, Mornington Hotel and Pilgrimshem hotel not more

than a few hundred meters from STARCS premises. Yet another stone throw away there is the old castle of Ulvsunda, now used as a hotel and conference facility.
 

Security and confidentiality

Despite the easy access, as described above, STARCS facilities are far from exposed. All our facilities are situated in an area that is completely sealed of from the surroundings by fences and walls.

Cars can be parked inside the gates. Transport cars and trucks can be taken all the way to the doors of the wind tunnel or even inside some of the facilities to enable safe and discrete unloading of models.
